Y-AGE - An ERASMUS+ Youth Exchange Project
(Youth Acting for a Greener Environment - Small steps lead to big results)
Youth exchanges allow groups of young people from different countries to meet, live together and work on shared projects for short periods. Youth exchanges take place outside the school environment. On a youth exchange, you can expect to participate in activities such as workshops, exercises, debates, role-plays, outdoor activities and more. Participants' learning experiences are recognised through a Youthpass. The EU grant supports travel as well as practical and activity-related costs necessary for the exchange.
One of our partners, the Kaptárkő Egyesület from Eger applied successfully and gives us the opportunity to participate in their project. The main objectives of the project are -to promote non-formal educational opportunities addressing the personal and social development of both youth communities and individuals; -to increase young people’s knowledge and awareness about the environment and associated challenges; -to develop the necessary skills and expertise to address the challenges through exchange of good practices, intercultural exchanges and creative work. Another really important aim of the project is to activate the youth and let them find those activities in the life of the organizations in which they are interested in, thus to strengthen the voluntary base of the organizations.
